Everytime before I go to Wangshimni ( hanguk kiwon station ) , i will stop by starbucks to have a coffee break first ~ cuppucino and best chocolate muffin
Before lesson I went Wangshimni plaza to have dinner with Shifu and family . After class 3 pm i took a 2 hours journey to wangshimni and it ended at 9 pm and I spent another 2 hours to get back to Yongberia but its all worth it .
This time we studied in shifu's house . This is his his library of all baduk books . Time flies , I already studied with shifu for 3 weeks and I benefited so much . I quite admire Shimu .. married a professional and take care of 2 adorable kids ~
Shifu is famous for being funny and smiling alot .. its true . He scold me while smiling .. very weird ><

How cold is it .. ? Sami ( FInland ) wrapped himself up like a bandit while DEDE ( CHina ) was ... And my feets were frozen when we walked too long and it was so painful .
We went to Hongdae for University Baduk COmpetition but everything was too chaotic ..

It's not even 6 am and I am up already reparing to go to yet another Baduk event at Hongdae soon . There's almost an event on each weekend !To make things worse its now -5 degree outside and i'm wearing 4 shirts in home T_T
Yesterday was another lesson with pro kim . During the lesson I seriously thought it could be the turning point of my Go life .. He showed me many things that I never imagined on the board . Anyway in return i taught him English . And i met Cui seobonim and Yoo chung hyuk i was so happy . Too bad kixx was not playing Badukleague yesterday .
On the way back we past by Rui naiwei's house , and I was near frozen in Kangnam waiting for bus . When I was back I stalked hangame for Badukleugue and the game yesterday was amazing to all Baduk fans I think .
I had a good week i guess :
1. Bannie and I watched 2012 and ate at the roadside stall .
2. Professor praised my homework .
3. Bugged strong players for games .
4. Visited starbucks and started thinking about which tumbler to get for myself for christmas .
Bad thing :
1. Becaue of he flu almost half of the kids dont come to the academy anmore and Bongi is very troubled .

Today is Pepero Day . Pepero is actually the Pocky chocolate stick snack we have in Singapore . And today we are supposed to give our lovers and friends Pepero . I prepared special peperos for Bannie and Jess , and normal Pepero for all the girls . Mi Jin and Zhang my chinese male friends gave us some chocolates instead .I have many good male friends in korea too like in Singapore and I also gave Pepero to the ones I know better .
Many not so good things happened lately and I am really troubled . The good thing is I have Bannie and Jess's friendships as support ..
Also , thanks to the Laksa , Bak Kut Teh and Char Mee Daniel brought over , I was able to taste abit of Singapore and I do miss home .
I miss the hot weather , kopi O , kaya toast , chickken rice , chendol , durian , my family and friends and more .. And though its weird I play the song Home by kit chan sometimes haha .
However , everything is really worth it . When I play Baduk with players like Jess and Zhang , its just amazing how strong they are and what they can do to make the go seeds shine like that when they play .
So sad there's no starbucks in Yongin T_T

It's christmas mood already ~
Finally its the day where i meet with Kim Sung Yung 9 dan .. thanks to Daniel . I've never thought that a pro would coach me . THough its not alot but the things I learnt are just amazing . He bought me lunch too the delicous omu rice .
After that I had to go home myself from Hanguk Kiwon and I got lost in Kangnam T_T Frantic a little and told myself to calm down . I called Mi Jin and he guided me on the phone . Thank God I got back to Yongin ~

Jess and I took a 4 hours busride to Myungyeong to attend another Baduk Competition again and we spent a night at the resort . There is an average of 4 competions a month in korea and this is one of the biggest competitions . Song Hong Si ( the winner of World Amateur Competition last week ) talked to me wahaha ~

Even the kids were all the best from their provinces ..
The next day morning we took a walk in the resort's garden and I told Jess everything is like Japan Hour .. wake up to see beautiful mountains and trees how blissful .
To celebrate our 2 months friendship she insisted to cook dinner for us .. which is .. fried eggs and fried tuna =_="
Then we took a super expensive taxi ride to the Apple Festival , there are 50 stalls and Jess kept eating and also kept shoving apple samples into my mouth =_=

I dont like apples before but this trip completely changed my mind , we even bought a box of apples back .. i was happy even though I was the one carrying the box =_=
Lastly before we left the provine we had a good meal .

Today I travelled to a Children Baduk Academy which is 2.5 hrs away from Yongin .. which means 5 hours back and forth =_= But I am determined to visit as many children Baduk academy as possible in these 2 years and become an xpert in this area haha .
Although every time I think of doing kids baduk in singapore as quite negative .. I hope that I can come up with a good proposal and even if I cant do it in Sg I can try in Korea or China too .

I think having the big LCD tv is a good idea .. spend 5 - 10 minutes playing baduk related video to get the kids attention before lessons . And having the boards on the floor i also good because the kids feel more comfortable with the height level .
Put up the names and rank , t make the kids have a sense of completion and competitiveness ~

I was one of the game recorders for the World Amateur Baduk Competiion . It was an amazing 5 days experience in Jeonju . I recorded the first 3 games for Jia Cheng and by doing so I realised how strong he is . He is very calm , patient in his moves and catches up using yose .He won the 6th place out of 66 I am very proud of him !
The more I learn about Baduk the more I realised this path is difficult but also the more I feel that this is something that Iis worth doing for a lifetime .
@ the box making workshop . We were all doing the traditional box but someone ( not spontaneous ) was sleeping .
I was really very touched when Daniel passed me a sleeping bag , and the many singapore food to me . I miss Singapore . I think among all the Singapore Go friends Daniel has really shown the most commitment to our Go Society and always does his best when it comes to Swa . In a small country like Singapore , I'm very lucky to find a friend like him . He took alot of pictures throughout the event!

Jessica is a very dramatic person while I'm the total opposite so we have many dramas everyday haha.

Today I went downtown to eat mac breakfast and I saw this cool shop .
The view when i stepped out of house today .. like in movies .. marching into the fog =_= today is even colder than yesterday .
I cooked fried rice for myself . Normally I will get a bento from Hansot but if I have some leftover white rice i will cook fried rice .
I didnt come to study this because it's just an option in life .
I didnt come to sleep on this hard wooden floor and trying to survive winter because I want to prove anything to anyone .
I am here because I truly love this game and I want to use it to change the world .

Nightview from school , classroom . We were watching night movie in class .
I do think I changed to a more sociable person since I came here ( I'm sure at least abit >< ) .
Winter announced its arrival today , I start seeing people wearing the thick winter clothes .. and its my second time being sick in a month .
My senior said I will be fetching the foreigners arriving for the competition and I cant wait to meet the singaporeans .

Bannie and Jessica came to my house and I cooked spagetti for us .
I just found out Jess was from the first group of female korean insei .. I was really suprised . Anyway we were chosen to be helpers for the Prime Minister cup which is coming soon , really excited .
This week I learnt a valuable lesson of Children Baduk Education . Bongi said real education is to ignore the minority and focus on the majority . Not very easy to understand . However I think the question of how to create potential out of each of our students is a question we should seriously think about . Since their parents paid us , its our responsibility to do so . So instead of choosing to ignore the pack which are slower learners I think we should also try to seek solutions for them .

Chuseok is over and it was suprising that although most of my course mates went home to reunite with their family but there's also a handful who stayed here , including Bongi . The reason is that they wont go back until they become successful with Baduk . I can feel the way they do as I wont go back Sg in 2 years . Bongi asked me if I cried since I arrived in Korea and of course I didnt . After I cried abit at Changi Airport I promised myself I will tide this 2 years over strongly no matter what , and if there's tears there will only be happy tears .
The current me , in Baduk context , is different now . Here , the board just seems bigger and you can soar in it with your own spirit , exploring places where you haven been before .
I'm now teaching kids classes in English and super poor korean on mon , wed and fri at Bongi's academy . It's a great experience .
I went lotte cinema with Jessica and Bannie and we watched a movie called Pain , which is really inspiring .. 6 stars .
